Learning Care

I really enjoyed this TED talk by Dr. Michael Wesch. I even got a little bit emotional when watching it.  Dr. Wesch describes what we as youth workers and educators may have come across at one point or another - jaded students.  Hello All! My name is Genevieve Medina, I am 23 years old, born and raised in Providence, RI. I graduated from Rhode Island College with my bachelor's degree in Psychology in 2020. I returned to RIC this past fall as a Youth Development master's student. This coming month I will be wrapping up my year of service as an AmeriCorps VISTA member with Providence College. I hope to be working with young people in the education space again very very soon!  One could argue I watch too much tv, so here's a list of some of my favorite shows: The Office, Bob's Burgers, The Handmaid's Tale, New Girl, Black-ish, anything Disney, The Bachelor franchise. I play Animal Crossing because its like my own little world I escape to sometimes.  Also shout-out to all the Bad Bunny fans in this class. I'm pretty proud of my Spotify library - I listen to lots of R&B, Hip-Hop/Rap, Reggaeton, Indie, Banda/Ranchera, Rock, Country. Send me your music recommendations :)  I also have list...
